We are proud to partner with Granite Peak Ski Area to present the Bone & Joint Pond Skim. The free event kicks off on Saturday, March 29 at noon at Granite Peak in Wausau (map). The Bone & Joint Pond Skim is open to the public and no registration is required, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP on the Facebook event page to stay updated! Competing participants are required to register day-of to sign a waiver and provide their name and costume.
The Bone & Joint Pond Skim features fun for the whole community, with daring skiers and snowboarders dressed in colorful costumes as they attempt to glide across a chilly 100-foot pond. A key highlight of Granite Peak’s Annual Spring Fling Family Festival, this event celebrates the start of spring with laughter, thrills and unforgettable moments.

- Fireworks display at dusk.
- Want to compete? Participant registration is required the day of and runs from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Granite Peak’s Ski School Desk. A signed waiver and name of costume is required. Enter for your chance to win a 2025-2026 season pass.
