Jeffrey Martin, DO, is an orthopaedic surgeon who offers general orthopaedic care for foot, ankle, hip, knee, elbow, and shoulder conditions. In addition to Dr. Martin’s interest in sports medicine and fracture care. He performs total joint replacements and reconstructive surgery at both, Bone & Joint’s Surgery Center and Aspirus Hosptial.

As a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), Dr. Martin can detect subtle misalignments of the bones and joints caused by inflammation, scar tissue or muscle tightness. Using osteopathic manipulative techniques, Dr. Martin can apply pressure to the muscles at specific points to help release tension and relieve pain.

A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Martin earned his medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery, at the Pinnacle Health Hospital System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He also completed residencies in pediatric orthopaedics, trauma, and foot and ankle care at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Scottish Rite Campus in Atlanta, Georgia and Penn State Hershey Medical Center located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Martin is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopaedics. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.

In 2014, he and his wife decided to move to Wausau to be closer to his wife’s family who live in Minnesota. “Bone & Joint was a perfect fit,” said Dr. Martin. “They care about their patients, their staff and their physicians.”

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys riflery, fishing and hiking.
