But there are physical, intellectual and emotional changes that may signal a \u00a0concussion.<\/p>\n<h2>Physical symptoms<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Headache<\/li>\n<li>Nausea<\/li>\n<li>Vomiting<\/li>\n<li>Balance<\/li>\n<li>Dizziness<\/li>\n<li>Light sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Sound sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Blurry or double vision<\/li>\n<li>Problems sleeping<\/li>\n<li>Sleeping too much<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Intellectual symptoms<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Memory problems<\/li>\n<li>Feeling hazy, foggy or fuzzy<\/li>\n<li>Confusion<\/li>\n<li>Difficulty following simple instructions<\/li>\n<li>Difficulty concentrating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00a0Emotional symptoms<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Irritability<\/li>\n<li>Sadness<\/li>\n<li>Overly emotional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Concussions can be challenging to diagnose. Symptoms may not appear right away, but may develop hours or days later.<\/p>\n<p>Young athletes who want to continue to play may not complain about concussion symptoms. It\u2019s important to observe their behavior.
